Director LLB (Hons) Higher Rights Advocate (Criminal Courts)

He is a Senior Lawyer at Khan Solicitors and has obtained an excellent reputation in dealing with major cases throughout the U.K. He has an excellent relationship with the judiciary and the bar and has a widespread client base all over the U.K. He has worked on numerous homicide cases, is a Legal Services Commission supervisor and has considerable experience in money laundering, serious fraud and election fraud cases.

He is an accomplished Lawyer , who has advocated a variety of cases nationally. He has been involved in numerous drugs and murder cases, and was one of the only, if not the only solicitor, that represented defendants in the riots case of 2001 in Bradford, Burnley and Oldham.

He has also successfully appealed cases in the Court of Appeal.

Tahir qualified as an advocate in 1992 having achieved his qualifications in Pakistan. Has been employed at Khans since 2005 and received his eligibility certificate from SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) and is qualified as an overseas advocate.

Deals primarily with preparation/perusal/briefs to counsel, power of attorney, sponsorship declarations, property inspection reports, as well as taking instructions from clients be it in the office, prison, police station, in court or from the client’s home address.

He is a Multilingual and can speak PUSHTO, URDU, PUNJABI, HINDKO and MIRPURI. He has qualified as a registered interpreter from University of Bradford.

He's accredited to appear before the Crown Court.

MBA, BA (Hons)

Anjum is co-founder and managing director of Khan Solicitors. She is responsible for running the firm and ensuring clients get the best possible service. With a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Bradford University School of Management, Anjum has an international perspective on business.

Anjum is also chief executive of international non-governmental organisation and registered charity, Basic Human Rights. She set up the charity in 2010 to bring her management expertise to help protect the rights of the most vulnerable groups in developing countries. Khan Solicitors supports Basic Human Rights, providing office space, administrative support and fundraising capability.

Balaal has been employed at Khan Solicitors since 2005. He is an accredited police station representative offering quality advice 24 hours a day, with vast experience having worked on several murder and serious fraud cases. He is regarded as a specialist in criminal law ranging from road traffic offences to white collar crime. In 2009 he was shortlisted by the Law Society for a prestigious national award of junior lawyer of the year.

During 2008 he has obtained a LLM Masters degree specialising in Terrorism and Human Rights. He is a Duty Solicitor in the Sheffield area, and is a familiar face in the Yorkshire Court Circuit and now a qualified Higher Rights Advocate in both Criminal and Civil Higher Courts.

Qualified Solicitor, graduated from Huddersfield University in 2001. One of the senior members of staff at Khan Solicitors. An integral member of the management team.

Deals primarily with the more serious criminal offences including contracted cases under the VHCC scheme. Extensive experience and has dealt with all types of criminal offences ranging from terrorism, murder, VAT fraud, Money laundering, conspiracy to defraud, mortgage fraud, conspiracy to supply class A & B drugs and sexual offences.

After graduating and completing the Legal Practice Course started her legal career at a large established commercial firm in Leeds before moving on to her training contract with a specialist criminal law firm. She joined the team at Khan Solicitors in May 2007.

A qualified Duty Solicitor covering advocacy at the magistrates court and representing clients at the police station. As well as offering a high level of service both at the magistrates court and at the police station has also worked on various high profile crown court cases.

Also a training coordinator within the firm.

BA (Hons)

Abbas graduated from the University of Huddersfield before completing his Postgraduate Studies at BPP Law School, Leeds.

He joined Khan Solicitors as a Trainee Solicitor in August 2009 and during this period was predominantly dealing with cases before the Crown Court with a varying degree of complexity and seriousness. He is also an Accredited Police Station Representative and regularly attends the Police Station to provide advice and assistance throughout England and Wales.

He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in February 2012 and is a highly regarded member of our team.

BA (HONS) Law & IT

Ali joined Khan Solicitors having initially been called to the Bar by The Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn. He is accredited as a Police Station Representative. Since his time at the firm he has predominantly undertaken the most notable and serious Crown Court work all over the UK, cases ranging from the most serious offences such as Murder, Attempted Murder, Conspiracies to Import Class A Drugs, Conspiracy to Defraud, Conspiracy to supply Class A Drugs, Conspiracies to Burgle, Multi-Hander Violent Disorders, Serious Sexual and Violent offences, child neglect/cruelty, and offences under the Proceeds Of Crime Act.

Completed her Law degree at the University of Sheffield and BVC at the College of Law. Joined the practice in 2010. Is an expert in Proceeds of Crime Act cases and an accredited police station representative.

Represented clients in wide ranging cases at the Crown court. Has experience in representing defendants in civil applications for forfeiture at the magistrates court.

(LLB Hons) Trainee Solicitor

Graduated from Keele University and completed the LPC at Birmingham College of Law. Joined the firm recently in November 2011.

A Police Station representative offering advice. Assists senior solicitors with preparation of Crown Court cases.

A BPP law graduate. He joined the team at Khan solcitors in 2010. An accredited police station representative offering quality advice 24 hours a day.

Assists senior solicitors with preparation of serious crown court cases ranging from murder to serious fraud, as well as managing his own caseload.
