Khan Solicitors supports Basic Human Rights, providing office space, administrative support and fundraising capability.

Balaal has been employed at Khan Solicitors since 2005. He is an accredited police station representative offering quality advice 24 hours a day, with vast experience having worked on several murder and serious fraud cases. He is regarded as a specialist in criminal law ranging from road traffic offences to white collar crime. In 2009 he was shortlisted by the Law Society for a prestigious national award of junior lawyer of the year.

During 2008 he has obtained a LLM Masters degree specialising in Terrorism and Human Rights. He is a Duty Solicitor in the Sheffield area, and is a familiar face in the Yorkshire Court Circuit and now a qualified Higher Rights Advocate in both Criminal and Civil Higher Courts.

Deals primarily with the more serious criminal offences including contracted cases under the VHCC scheme. Extensive experience and has dealt with all types of criminal offences ranging from terrorism, murder, VAT fraud, Money laundering, conspiracy to defraud, mortgage fraud, conspiracy to supply class A & B drugs and sexual offences.

After graduating and completing the Legal Practice Course started her legal career at a large established commercial firm in Leeds before moving on to her training contract with a specialist criminal law firm. She joined the team at Khan Solicitors in May 2007.

A qualified Duty Solicitor covering advocacy at the magistrates court and representing clients at the police station. As well as offering a high level of service both at the magistrates court and at the police station has also worked on various high profile crown court cases.

Also a training coordinator within the firm.

Abbas graduated from the University of Huddersfield before completing his Postgraduate Studies at BPP Law School, Leeds.

He joined Khan Solicitors as a Trainee Solicitor in August 2009 and during this period was predominantly dealing with cases before the Crown Court with a varying degree of complexity and seriousness. He is also an Accredited Police Station Representative and regularly attends the Police Station to provide advice and assistance throughout England and Wales.

He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in February 2012 and is a highly regarded member of our team.

Ali joined Khan Solicitors having initially been called to the Bar by The Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn. He is accredited as a Police Station Representative. Since his time at the firm he has predominantly undertaken the most notable and serious Crown Court work all over the UK, cases ranging from the most serious offences such as Murder, Attempted Murder, Conspiracies to Import Class A Drugs, Conspiracy to Defraud, Conspiracy to supply Class A Drugs, Conspiracies to Burgle, Multi-Hander Violent Disorders, Serious Sexual and Violent offences, child neglect/cruelty, and offences under the Proceeds Of Crime Act.
